Winter Wellness: Give Yourself Permission to Rest

Winter has well and truly settled in here in Kaiapoi. Frosty mornings, short days and that temptation to just hibernate until spring. While the season asks us to slow down, many of us do the opposite. We push through, get run down, and wonder why we feel flat and tired by spring.
Winter is actually my favourite time of year to give reflexology. There is something special about coming in from the cold to a warm room, soft music and a cosy blanket. Then you let your whole body unwind for an hour. Clients often tell me their winter sessions are the deepest relaxation they get all year.
Regular reflexology through the colder months is a lovely way to support your body when it is working hardest. It eases tension, helps you sleep better and gives your immune system the best chance to do its job. If you have been fighting off every bug going around, or simply feel like you are running on empty, an hour on the table might be exactly what you need.
